We got our sweet boy April 1st, 2026 and he was so good on the long trip home from Waco, TX.

1. He’s an English Labrador Retriever (although the AKC does not distinguish English Labrador retrievers from their American cousins)
2. He prefers the A/C over sunshine
3. His best buddy is his cousin, Brisket
4. He’s made friends with a local whitetail doe
5. He’s already mastered a level 4 puzzle box
6. He’s willing to eat anything (including a 1″ glass ornament, which thankfully passed without incident)
7. He’s really gentle with his feline sisters, Cosette and Myrtle Mae
8. He’s a natural swimmer and retriever
9. The dragons and crows on TV scare him
10. He loves going to the Home Depot to meet people and make new friends
11. Beckett’s buddy, Puff, the dragon, is on his way to becoming real (he’s lost all his dorsal scales, and one of his legs)
12. Beckett loves children, including our grandson, Wally
